Day With My Sister-In-Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The only time lately that I get to see my sister-in-law is for play dates with my nieces or the holidays.\u00a0 So, when I found out she had the Tumalo cow tag, I was really excited to take her out.\u00a0 I know that area very well, and I couldn&#8217;t wait to get her out there on the hunt.\u00a0 It would be a time to relax from the chaos of the work week, the stresses of raising kids, and just get out into the fresh air and enjoy ourselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We got started a little late, when I arrived to pick up Becki, the lights were off at the house, and the dogs and kids were all asleep still.\u00a0 Apparently, they had accidentally shut the alarm off, but my consistent ringing of the doorbell didn&#8217;t allow them to sleep much longer.\u00a0 She was ready in no time flat, and once her dad showed up with her brother we were set.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2941\" style=\"width: 543px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2941\" href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/2011\/02\/08\/a-day-with-my-sister-in-law\/p1040789\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2941\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2941\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/files\/2011\/02\/P1040789-533x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2941\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Becki and her brother Matt<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It was a pretty warm morning and we hiked out to an area where I know there are elk.\u00a0 We glassed around some ridges for a while and didn&#8217;t see anything, then ventured to a nice draw that I thought would be a good place to spot something.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2940\" style=\"width: 543px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2940\" href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/2011\/02\/08\/a-day-with-my-sister-in-law\/p1040788\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2940\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2940\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/files\/2011\/02\/P1040788-533x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/files\/2011\/02\/P1040788-533x400.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/files\/2011\/02\/P1040788-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2940\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hiking out on the rock rim looking for elk<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We got out to the area and only found some couple day old tracks making a thick trail up the draw.\u00a0 We figured they had been in there in the past few days and we would have to come back after they made their big trek they always seem to make on a weekly basis.\u00a0 We had to be patient, and she will go back there with her husband in a few days.\u00a0 Hopefully, she will strike gold so to speak, and get a cow.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2942\" style=\"width: 543px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2942\" href=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/2011\/02\/08\/a-day-with-my-sister-in-law\/p1040790\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2942\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2942\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/heathermoore\/files\/2011\/02\/P1040790-533x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2942\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">At least we saw some wildlife<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Even though we didn&#8217;t get to see any elk, we had a ton of laughs, mostly on her brothers behalf.\u00a0 We had a great bonding time and\u00a0 I look forward to going out again.\u00a0 At least we were able to stop by the elk farm and spy a glimpse of what we really wanted to bag.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2943\" style=\"width: 543px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-2943\"
