<\/strong><\/strong>For the 6th consecutive time during our biennial conventions, you have the opportunity to join fellow Club members for some casual fun on the links.<\/span><\/p>\n

GOLF<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday, April 7th<\/strong><\/span>
\n9am – about 2pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants will gather at the Mayo Civic Center North Lobby and depart at 9:00am for the Pine Island Golf Course (15 minutes north of Rochester).\u00a0 We’ll divide into foursomes and start the scramble format tourney.\u00a0 Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin and 1st Place Group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bring your clubs and join in for some fresh, early-spring air and a lot of fun!<\/span><\/p>\n

Register online, over the phone (507-867-4144), or by sending the registration fee of $100 to the Club’s headquarters.\u00a0 The registration fee covers green fees, prizes and a significant donation to the Pope and Young Club \/ St. Charles Museum of Bowhunting.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>SPORTING CLAYS<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>A new addition to the convention activities line-up, a Sporting Clays Shoot gives you a chance to show off your shotgun shooting prowess…or\u00a0to just dabble in something you’ve always wanted to try.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday, April 7th<\/strong><\/span>
\nNoon – about 4pm<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Participants will gather in the Mayo Civic Center North Lobby at noon for a short ride to the range.\u00a0 We’ll break into teams of five people and, with a shotgun start, will shoot 100 clays at nine (9) different stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bring your own shotgun, or we can find one for you, and join in on a great afternoon of friendly competition.\u00a0 Shells will be available.<\/span><\/p>\n

We’ve got a few chances for you to put a bow, or two, in your hands during the convention too!\u00a0 <\/strong><\/strong>On Saturday, attendees have a chance to try out the Genesis bows used around the country in National Archery in the Schools Programs.\u00a0 An indoor 3-D course will have been set up the previous day, for an Invitational NASP 3-D Fun Shoot–for NASP-enrolled public schools in the region.\u00a0 Therefore, what a great chance for us all to try out the standard NASP equipment and fling some arrows!<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, some arrow-flinging fun can be had during your visit(s) to the Pope and Young Club Museum during the Convention.\u00a0 The Minnesota Bowhunters will have an aerial frisbee thrower and ample bows and flu-flu arrows on hand for you to do a little “wing” shooting.<\/span>
