The weather was beautiful sunny and warm. The Cook Inlet salmon run was one of the poorest I have ever seen but the berry crop was one of the best. Good and bad no salmon in the rivers, no bears eating them in the rivers. All the bears were in the berry patches while we were on the river. Oh well it ws still a lot of fun!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<div id=\"attachment_126\" style=\"width: 586px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"size-full wp-image-126 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/thelastfrontier\/files\/2009\/09\/skwentna-river-black-1.jpg\" alt=\"Small black bear on the Skewentna River\" width=\"576\" height=\"327\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Whoops been caught!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This small black bear kept us entertained one afternoon until she decided to check out our rubber raft.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll be back with more after I get back in Oct.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-132\" src=\"http:\/\/www.outdoorblog.net\/thelastfrontier\/files\/2009\/09\/joe-beachs-air-boat.jpg\" alt=\"joe-beachs-air-boat service\" width=\"576\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We used Joe Beach&#8217;s air boat to run our rafters up the Skwentna River for our float hunts down the Skwentna.
