A few weeks, back an arson wildfire was set at Pointe Mouille State Game Area. The fire uncovered areas that where filled with glass, tires and illegally dumped trash. After seeing this, a group from the Internet community, Michigan-sportsman.com, began planning a clean up of the game area to help make the area safer for its users. The area is a popular place for birding, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Justin Clark a national syndicated blogger (www.outinmichigan.com) with Outside Hub (www.outdoorhubmedia.com) a Michigan Internet Media Company which is the Parent Company of Michigan Sportsman (www.michigan-sportsman.com), began planning and getting the permits required for this to happen.
The group has planned the clean up to take place on Apirl 16th, and will begin working at 9am. People that will like to help out, can start showing up at 8am. There will be a group meeting to go over a few things before work can begin. The group plans on collecting and recycling as much as they can. Any money made by the recycling is going to be donated back to the State Game Area.
